Nitoguard® Glass Nano coating for tiles & glass
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nitoguard® Glass is an innovative nano-coating based on silica dioxide (SiO2).
Nitoguard® Glass forms a permanent protective layer without changing the appearance of the surface.
Nitoguard® Glass makes the surface extremely water-repellent. The protective layer ensures a decrease in dirt-adhesion making treated surfaces easy to clean and lime scale is easily removed.
Nitoguard® Glass is very wear- and temperature-resistant (450°C).
The Nitoguard® products consists of a collection of high-quality coatings for several different surfaces. The use of high-quality raw materials based on fluorine or nanotechnology makes it possible to obtain long-lasting and extreme water-, grease- and dirt-repellent properties. Because every material is different, the Nitoguard® product line has a solution for every type of materials.
USE
Nitoguard® Glass can be applied on glass and other hard and smooth surfaces such as glazed tiles and ceramics.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Reduces penetration of markers, lime scale and other aggressive chemicals
• Easy to clean
• Chemical-resistant between pH=1 and pH=13
• Easy to apply
• Environmentally friendly and UV-resistant
• Great preservative properties
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Ensure the surface is completely clean, dry and free from dust. Clean the surface beforehand on the basis of the contamination that are present on the glass:
Lime residues: Abrasive of 20% w/w Cerium (IV) oxide in water or Glassrenovator, followed by a second cleaning with Isopropanol.
Silicone and soap residues: Siliconeremover and Uniclean.
Industrial contaminants: Abrasive Cerium (IV) oxide, followed by a second cleaning with Isopropanol. Rinse thoroughly with water. Let the substrate dry completely.
2. Apply Nitoguard® Glass on a clean lint-free microfibre cloth and apply the product with a polishing movement on to the surface.
3. After 30 seconds polish the surface with a dry and clean lint-free microfibre cloth.
4. If it is desired to remove Nitoguard® Glass from the surface, this can be done with an abrasive of Cerium (IV) oxide.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Nitoguard® Glass can be applied in dry weather conditions in temperatures between 10°C and 30°C.
