Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion Ceramic coating
Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion is a patented, permanent transparent organic modified polysilazane coating. The coating specially developed for use on metal substrates for rust and oxidation prevention.
APPLICATION
Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion forms at a very low layer thickness a durable protective, corrosion and limited temperature resistant transparent glossy layer from which dirt can be removed very easily. It is very suitable for use on metals such as steel, stainless steel, titanium and galvanized sheet metal and non-ferro metals that are exposed in an oxidising environment.
Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion is excellent chemical resistant and resistant to corrosive salts.
CHARACTERISTICS
• Suitable for various types of metal surfaces.
• Easy-to-clean properties due to the repulsive properties.
• Protects the surface against degradation due to corrosion.
• Temperature resistant (up to approx. 250°C).
• Very good adhesion to most metals.
• Good performance with very low layer thickness of 0.5 – 2 μm.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Do not dilute Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion. Clean the surface with Uniclean or Uniclean Low Foaming (consult your MAVRO International advisor) and then rinse with tap water. In the case of oxidised metals and non-ferrous metals, make these substrates free from rust by treatment with Rustremover and sanding or grinding (see product sheet for instructions for use). Subsequently clean the substrate with Isopropanol and then dry thoroughly. Apply Ceradur® Anti-Corrosion with power sponge, microfibre cloth, washer or HLVP spraying installation. Do not use in the vicinity of open fire or in direct sunlight. The chemical reaction time is at R.H. of 80 % approx. 15 min. Apply at least 1 coat, if necessary, on absorption in the substrate of the first coat apply a second coat after 5 - 10 minutes “wet in wet”.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Ambient temperature: maximum 30°C, minimum 10°C
